what are consumer electronics

In the English language, we generally use consumer electronics to describe devices like televisions, smartphones or laptops. There is also the less used term entertainment electronics. In the German language the term Unterhaltungselektronik is more common and the less elegant term Verbraucherelektronik ist not often used.
